Default Lou Piniella in front of IO

So, I am looking up where IO is because I am from out of town and I tend to use the street view on google maps to find places, it helps. I type in Improv Olympic, google map it, and click street view. I see the beautiful blue wall of IO, but then I notice a man who looks a lot like Lou Piniella. Sure, Wrigley Field is a mere 100 feet away, and it shouldn't be much of a coincidence. However, being that I am a huge improv fan, and a huge Cubs fan, I find it pretty amazing how random it is to see them both in the same picture.

Looooouuu! It's like finding an Easter Egg on GoogleMaps.

I confess; I've geeked out a number of times over GoogleMap's capabilities. For me it's one of those little modern day things that us older people find cool because it's stuff we only dreamed about as kids.
What a handy tool and great fun to play with.

I occasionally poke around on Real Estate sites checking out places to live, and it's amazing for that. Especially if the realtors' site provides the MLS number for the listing.
The Satellite views with hybrid overlays are cool enough, I've been able to zoom in to view a single property, ..but the street-view option is downright freaky.
You can pick up and drag the icon just about anywhere and see through it's eyes, 360 degrees. I dropped the little dude in front of my house and I was virtually standing there in the street facing it, and able to turn and look in any direction. ..WTF, I was even standing next to my truck parked out front,
..and it needed washing.

..and it was clearly warm and sunny out.

*sigh*

I did most of the pics for Google on that prgram and it's funny to see them now. I drove the north side of Chicago and had no idea that I drove right by Lou Pinella. I wonder who else I drove right by and had no idea.

It just amuses me.

Thanks. It needs work. I love it though, especially its history.
It was once the home and studio of an artist named KO Munson.
