CALL FOR ENTRIES: THE 2007 PLANET ANT FILM & VIDEO FESTIVAL

Planet Ant Theatre is making a CALL FOR ENTRIES for the fifth annual PLANET ANT FILM & VIDEO FESTIVAL. This year’s festival will take place June 13th through June 16th, 2007 in Hamtramck and Detroit, Michigan.

The 2007 Planet Ant Film & Video Festival is a celebration of independent movies and the people who make them, featuring comedies, dramas, documentaries, music videos and animation from Detroit and around the world.

Building on the success of previous years, Planet Ant has invited back jurors Jack Cronin (Detroit Film Center, Oakland Community College) and Josh Funk ("Wild 'N Out" MTV, Joseph Jefferson Award winning director) and are proud to welcome new jurors Keith Jefferies (CinemaSlam, Ascalon Films) and Jamie Sonderman (Thought Collide, The Mitten Movie Project) who both had films in last years festival.

Previous jurors have included Second City Alum Larry Joe Campbell, Nyima Funk, Josh Funk and Keegan Michael Key.

Planet Ant is also proud to announce a partnership with WithoutaBox for easy online submissions as well as welcoming back 2006’s sponsors Sony, Final Draft, Showbiz Software, Gorilla Software, SonicBids and The Michigan Film Office.
