Default Seeking African American actors who can sing

The Cornservatory is casting for its two title characters in its upcoming children’s production, Aunt Nancy and the Doggy Tales.

We are looking specifically for African American actors who can sing. One female and one male, age ranging anywhere from 25 and up.

Stage experience is encouraged but not required as we are a teaching theater. There’s no pay but the experience is worth more than gold. With a well rounded cast and a crew who is ready to present morals to today’s youth in a fun and creative new way.

This original piece starts rehearsals ASAP.

We rehearse through January Sat. afternoons, and Mon. and Wed. evenings. The show opens Feb 6th and runs through March 28th playing only 2pm matinee performances.

Auditions will be this Sat. the 2nd at 10am at the Cornservatory, located at 4210 Lincoln Ave in Lincoln Square. No need to prepare anything, sides will be provided at the time of audition. Those interested should contact Kara at karabethk@gmail.com.

Happy New Year!
