"Listen, Kid..." the musical written by Peter Gwinn (Emmy award winning writer for The Colbert Report) is being remounted in Donny's Skybox.

The show has been performed in New York City and in Chicago in 2006 where it was Chicago Reader "Highly Recommended." "Listen, Kid..." is a parody of the classic 1970s children's album "Free To Be You and Me" but LK is definitely NOT for children.

The show will run Saturday nights at 7:30pm in Donny's Skybox. Running time will be approximately 50 minutes.

Show dates: Dec 06, 13, 20, 27, Jan 03.

Auditions for "Listen, Kid..." will be held this Sunday, October 26, at the Second City Training Center and the following slots are available - 3:30, 4:00, 4:30, 5:00

The first rehearsal will be Monday October 27 in the evening at the Second City Training Center.

You do not need to prepare any music but be ready to sing. You will also do some cold readings of selected scenes.

Will all rehearsals be Monday night?

Most likely rehearsals will be Monday nights (6-9 or 7-10 or whatever) and we will ALSO most likely have another night as well once we check everyone's schedules.

But those second rehearsals may initially not be full cast but as we get closer to opening will be.

The plus side is, the show is REALLY fun and not a chore to rehearse.

Prospective Auditioners...

I would like to recommend that those interested have had prior singing experience on stage outside of basic choral work.

All performers of this show will have important vocals parts and harmonies to carry and we are looking to put together a strong singing ensemble.

That's all!
