The ComedySportz Training Center is proud to announce its Term 5 schedule! EARLY REGISTRATION UNTIL SEPTEMBER 26th!

101—Fundamentals of Improv
Sundays, 3-6pm, begins 10/19

202—Scenic Improvisation
Mondays, 7-10p, begins 10/20

303—The ComedySportz Games
Sundays, 3-6p, begins 10/19

404—Styles/Genre
Mondays, 7-10, begins 10/20


Where? Our classes are now held at our theater at 929 W Belmont, steps from the Belmont El stop and convenient to several busses.

How much? $225, payable in installments if necessary. $200 during Early Registration.

Schedule? 8 weeks of class And, your class will perform for friends and family in a show case in week 9! (Tentatively scheduled for December 14 & 16th.)

Which class should I take? 101 is open to everyone but you may also be eligible for 202 or 303 based on your prior experience. Contact Trish for more info.

ComedySportz Chicago is proud to announce its teachers for Term 5.

Level 101 - Taught by Jay Olson. Jay began his improv career with ComedySportz in Austin, TX circa 1996. He is proud to once again carry the CSz banner here in Chicago. Jay can also be seen with Whiskey Rebellion at iO Theater, in the hip-hop/improv comedy of The Beatbox, and as the Olson half of the comedy duo, Cathcart & Olson.

Level 202 - Taught by Martin Wilson. Martin Wilson graduated from the College of William & Mary and is thrilled to compete at ComedySportz. He also performs at the iO Theater with The Diplomat Motel and The Improvised Shakespeare Co., and is a member of the BBC, having appeared in their productions "Toast" and "Concept Album: Shuffle".

Level 303 - Taught by Rich Baker. Rich Baker (performer since 2006) is thrilled to perform with ComedySportz. Born in Fort Worth, Tx, he co-founded TCU's Senseless Acts of Comedy, and trained with Texas' famous Four Day Weekend. He currently also performs at the iO theatre with Cutlass Supreme.

Level 404 - Taught by Keith Whipple. Keith Whipple has worked for prisons, probation services, and international refugee centers. Keith received a Master’s in Education and Therapeutic Drama from Lesley College. He learned improvisation and Commedia dell’Arte with Geese Theatre traveling across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.
