Tonight, I'm going to hear this jazz band and tap dancer perform.

Saturday, I'm doing yoga for the first time in many months, and later on drinking margaritas with my Revolver Peeps. And hopefully, watch the Bulls take Game 1 against the Pistons.

What's the haps this weekend?

Watch some horsies run around in a circle, and drink to make it interesting. Try not to get too drunk to keep working on my screenplay later. Sometimes you never know ...

taking in a cubs game with a buddy coming into town from KC, then helping orchestrate his surprise proposal to his girlfriend.

don't worry, they don't look here.

In my quest to become a true nerd, I'm studying tonight, taking a final tomorrow morning and then going to the Sci-Fi Spectacular at the Music Box.

If I'm very very lucky, I'll get something signed by Patricia Neal that says "Klaatu Barada Nikto" on it.

Also, I get to see Serenity.

My best friend/roommate got engaged last night.

How is he going to surprise her?

we're all going out to dinner. during the cubs game, i will get "a phone call". the wife and I will have to back out of the plans due to a "last minute show opportunity for a corporate group". we'll pretend to make plans to meet up afterwards for dessert and drinks. they'll go to a nice dinner then he's going to suggest they kill time by walking around Millenium Park. that's where he'll pop the question. in the meantime, me and Mo will be taking their stuff from our guest room to the hotel room he has booked downtown, checking them in, decking out the room, (maybe christening it for them), icing some champagne, etc.

it's not a huge surprise, but mostly some fun chicanery and hopefully good memories.

Shaving my goatee down to a mustache for Cinco De Mustache. Performing in shows with aforementioned ridiculous mustache. Going out drinking after shows.

The Belmont Burlesque Revue had a huge show at Martyrs', and we had a HUUUUGE turnout. Maybe the biggest audience I've ever played for. It was great fun, but I am WIPED OUT today.

Also, I broke my little toe on my left foot walkin' around the apartment barefoot yesterday morning, and today it's swollen and purple.

I'll vouch. Dave's goatee was pretty ridiculous.

Ass.

Double chins provide shading that make some mustaches look like goatees.
