What to talk about huh......well I don't know I guess what everyone is doing this weekend? As for myself I'm taking it easy since it's going to rain all weekend also I have a new girlfriend. I never do stay single for long. It's cool to be me.

So...he told me he'd just come from a party, and I nodded, said couldn't have been much of a party, then- and I was, by the way, only half-joking as I said it.

But he said, seriously, right, right.

He explained to me that he'd actually been to a party at a club, the sort of club where the music was loud and no real connections made beyond- how did he phrase it, again?

The superficial.

No, he explained that he was at a club, a party for a work-mate, a work-mate he'd blown off several times before, and thought, at a certain, that it was politically incorrect to continue to do so. And there was a big group of them, and the music was loud, and no real conversation to be had, there. The club was rowdy, lively, but real conversation, the type of conversation where you touch on topics such as mortality, and the value of things in general, and the things on which we place a premium, the priorities, and at a certain point he'd decided to split, said I'm going out for a smoke and just split, you know...

And came here to visit you.

That's sweet, I told him.

I totally understand.
