I'm surprised I haven't posted this before now. What's wrong with me?
Join Theatre Momentum tonight at Trace Bar on Clark, for a fun night of 80's dancing, costumes, and general awesomeness.
Party starts at 8:00, and we've got the entire upstairs to ourselves for 80's dancing the whole night through! We'll have some nice drink discounts at the bar, too- Miller Lite for $3 and Well Drinks for $3.

And, to make thing extra special, we'll be holding a Costume contest and a Dance contest!
Who's got the coolest 80's threads? Do you still have a Michael Jackson jacket? Can your hair reach Flock of Seagulls heights? Who has a piano tie? Show it off, win prizes!
And let's not forget the 80's dances- who can still breakdance, cabbage patch, pop n' lock, or do the robot? Test your dancing mettle against anyone else who dares take to the dance floor. Bust a move, people.
Contest prizes range from VIP tickets to NPR's "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me (http://www.npr.org/programs/waitwait/)" to tickets to a Victory Gardens (http://www.victorygardens.org/content/) mainstage show, to tix to Sickest F*cking Stories (http://sickeststories.com/).
Dance and costume contests will start around 11 PM.

Come out and party, and support a good cause, while you're at it! Cover for the 80's dance night at Trace is just $5, and the proceeds go to a fundraiser for Theatre Momentum (www.theatremomentum.com), an improv theatre company with shows opening at the Bailiwick Theater loft in August. You can meet and hang out with the cast, dance the night away with some fun people, and support live theatre, all at once. Can't beat that.
Here's a Metromix blurb (http://metromix.chicagotribune.com/search/41938,0,1408658.venue) on Trace, for those of you who've never been. It's got a cool upstairs bar for us to hang out and dance the night away.
Trace is on Clark Street, just a little north of Wrigley Field. Parking is difficult in the area, but there is a pay lot nearby. You can get there easily from the Red Line Addison stop, though. While things will officially start at 8, we'll be there the whole night, so don't worry if you are coming in a bit late. It'll be easy to find us.
Hope you can all make it out!
