Maybe now the Republican Party can finally get together after such a divisive primary.

Love or hate his views, he has definitely struck a chord in a portion of the electorate. He also has a ton of money, and the capability to raise a whole lot more from his supporters, using pretty much the same model Obama used in his campaign--lots of small donations from voters, rather than the Clinton/traditional model of one-time/maximum-amount donations from special interests and party fat-cats. I would not be surprised to see him on the ballot in all 50 as a candidate in the general election under the Libertarian Party or other. I would also not be surprised to see him shut out of pretty much every televised debate and marginalized by the two major parites and the networks. I don't agree with him on a whole lot of issues, but I respect his passion for what he believes, his fundraising capabilities and his ability to get people behind him.

The Republican party is held up by 3 basic legs.

You have the Business wing of the party, the Religious, Socially conservative wing of the party, and the Libertarian wing of the party.

I think in recent years, the business wing, and the Religious wing have really come to dominate the party at the expense of the Libertarian part of the party.

I think that Ron Paul speaks to that neglected part of the party.

While I was reading this post, a page came over the intercom:

"Don Hall, please dial 4600... Don Hall, 4600..."

And since I was reading about Ron Paul, I thought they were paging Ron Paul. Don Hall rhymes with Ron Paul.
