Hey guys,

Paul Natkin of the Chicago Music Commission has reached out to me to collect comments from Comedy producers on how this Ordinace will effect our industry. All comments will be presented at a City Hall meeting by Paul along with the CMC comments.

Please fill out this survey to have your comments included:

More specifcially he would also like producers and venue owners that wouldn't mind writting a short essay sharing financial information on how this ordinace will impact your buisness financially. This is not a part of this survey. But if you would like to include an essay please email it to angie<at>cicomedy.com (I promise all information will be kept confidential) This is an effort to try to show the DBA that even adding a small additional fee onto a bottom line can really impact a independent producer. He suggests showing how much putting up a show costs, what on average you bring in, and how this added cost will impact (if at all) you continuing to produce in the city.

I know this is a sensitive issue for everyone involved. I am just trying to help Paul show the massive impact that this Ordiance would have on not just the Music industry but beyond. So your comments are appreicated.

Paul has also offered to do a Q & A with anyone who would like to attend on Monday June 2 at 6:30pm. Please let me know if you want to attend, he is one of the few people that understand this ordiance inside and out. He has been working with the DBA for over a year on the wording and has been trying to get it not passed at all.

Please keep the comments coming.

We are up to 22 and I am hoping our booklet for Paul will have at least 100 comments.

Thanks to everyone so far that has participated.
