WHAT IS pH?
Established in 2002, pH Productions (http://www.whatisph.com) is a performance ensemble dedicated to educating and exposing non-traditional audiences to live theater. pH's original comedic productions continually test the boundaries of form, humor and audience participation to provide the highest quality entertainment.
pH as a name came out of the idea of group "chemistry" and the range of performers that we want to have and the range of formats and ideas we are going to have. Some more "acidic", some more "alkalin-y" (we made that word up) but all existing on one scale as one entity.
We are the measure of a solution. We are pH.

pH performs several shows every week at the historic Stage Left Theatre (http://www.whatisph.com/findus.html) in Wrigleyville. Stage Left is at 3408 N. Sheffield Avenue (http://www.whatisph.com/findus.html) right around where Clark and Sheffield meet. pH Productions has been a guest at Stage Left Theatre since 2003.

THURSDAYS @ 11PM - The pH Spotlight Series
Spotlight lets any performer in the pH ensemble create, write, produce, direct, promote, cast and perform in their very own show...however they want. All it takes is an idea. Spotlight will showcase our ensemble's enormous creativity and bring you shows that push the envelope creatively and consistently. Now in its 5th year, pH Spotlight has been a huge success and featured some great improv, sketch and "other" types of shows, so be on the lookout every Thursday night for something different.

A fully improvised musical spectacular with tons of audience participation! We use your suggestions to create a ridiculous family, then you decide what happens!

A crazy, fast-paced improv competition where you vote players out of the show! Eight actors compete for the pHrenzy tropHy, but your votes and random rules eliminate them until we have a champion!

SATURDAYS @ 11PM - Wheel of pHortune
The audience and fate to decide the type of improv show to be performed each week! A variety of improv "forms" are attached to the Wheel of pHortune. Once an audience member spins the wheel, one of those styles will be selected for the performance. Each exciting, hilarious option is equally entertaining, but no one knows what kind of show will happen until the Wheel comes to a stop!
SATURDAYS @ 12:30AM - pHrenzy pHucked
Adults only! A twisted version of our regular pHrenzy show! The audience is tougher, the comedy is more raw, and the host of the show is always someone crazy! A spectacle that has to be seen to be believed, pHrenzy pHucked is not for the faint of heart! BYOB Encouraged!
