Hi everyone:

Come out and catch Recapitulation (http://www.myspace.com/recapitulationimprov)'s new show Brat Pack: The Musical. The show is playing Thursday nights in May @ 8 PM at Gorilla Tango theatre (1919 N. Milwaukee). Tickets are $10. Brat Pack: The Musical is an improvised musical based on popular coming-of-age 1980’s movies such as Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. By using audience suggestions, a full-blown musical takes the audience through a storyline filled with relationships, conflicts, and memorable characters in a traditional John Hughes fashion.

Hi Folks:

Time to break out your leg warmers, banana clips, snap-on bracelets, jelly shoes, Member's Only jackets, neon clothing, Guess jeans, Preppie clothes, wedgies, acid washed jeans, jean jackets, parachute pants, high top shoes, Izod shirts(probably with the collar up), dress pants and penny loafer shoes, and let's not forget the baggy blazer with the sleeves rolled up for the opening night of Brat Pack: The Musical! “Brat Pack: The Musical” takes inspiration from a crop of Hughes’ flicks, including “Sixteen Candles,” “The Breakfast Club,” “Pretty in Pink” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” Audience participation also fuels the improv musical. 8 p.m. Thursdays through May 29. $10. Gorilla Tango Theatre (1919 N. Milwaukee Ave)

I saw this Thursday- it is really good and you should definitely pull out all the 80's gear and check it out.

Moment of the night: when the piano was unplugged by a dance number and the cast broke out into an 80's hip hop tribute with a beat-boxing finale!

Gotta love improv!
