Tired of performing in bars?
Tired of performing for free?
The Sandbox is here!
The Sandbox runs at the Playground Theater, with shows every Monday at 8 pm. Every Sandbox show will have three ensembles and each will be given 25 minutes to perform. Each ensemble performing that evening is responsible for an equal portion of the rent. Once an ensemble's ticket sales covers its portion, the rest of the ticket sales goes to that ensemble!
That's right, YOU do the legwork and bring enough people to cover your part of the rent, YOU get the rest of the money. (And if you fall short, it's OK, you're not covering the entire night of rent, just your share!)
We also are open to both ensembles wanting a one-night booking and ensembles willing to do a full-month run of shows.
If your ensemble is interested in performing at the Sandbox, please contact Seth Dodson at sethdodson@yahoo.com for more information. The deadline for applying is Monday May 19th. We are scheduling for the months of June and July only.
Thanks
