Hello Chicago,

I have the whole day open tomorrow and part of the day open Monday. I will do headshots for $200 if you are one of the first 5 people to respond. I have slots open still throughout the week as well, just let me know when you can come in and we will try to make it work.

Dear Friends,

I don't usually do this, but after reading a nasty thread with someone commenting on how they were unhappy with their head shots, I felt oddly compelled to post.

First off, let me say, that Matt Wysocki is going to go places in the photography industry. The guy just has something special. I don't know what it is, ambition I suppose? He has an eye that spots something special in you and then he exploits the hell out of it, and take photos all the while.

I called Matt earlier in the day and expressed how I needed to come in for head shots ASAP. He was ready to shoot that day, and catered to my needs. I went to his place, which was quite impressive and made me jealous ;), my session only took one hour! In and Out! Te next day, my photos were ready for printing. He even met up with me downtown to drop off the disc!

Long story short, I was very impressed with Mr. Wysocki. My head shots turned out great, and I referred two of my friends to him. BOTH of them were so happy with THEIR head shots that they took me out to dinner!

Please don't write this guy off. He will work hard to make you happy.

-James

My girlfriend had a very simaler experience. The photos she got on the disc wouldn't work on our computer but that's not Matt's fault. She was very pleased with her photos.

My thoughts on the hater is that she got one bad picture, even though I'm sure Matt let her pick her favorites.

Who knows though, I'm just the boyfriend.

i think a really good thing would be to have actual head shot samples on your flicker page. Your photography looks rad but there's no way to get an idea of what your head shot work is like. Just a suggestion.

Just a heads-up for those who didn't see this guy's other thread.

I don't know this guy, but I know Mo, and I trust her. If she wasn't happy with the service she got, it's for a valid reason.

Careful, Matt gets upset when boyfriends/husbands post in regards to their partner's photos.

In my wife's case, it wasn't "one bad picture" that upset her. It was the photographer telling her that he would photoshop some shadows out of some pictures, then not doing it. Then after being asked about it, not doing it again. Still hasn't, in fact. Maybe some day. Oh well, I'm clearly better off smoking a bowl, so that's what I'm off to do. See you later!

I thought people who did improv were supposed to be funny...... ... . . . .ehmmhmm.

I wasn't improvising there. I carefully thought out what I wanted to say, and then said it.

Maybe with all the time you have not photoshopping Mo's pictures like you said you were going to do (3 times), you could go buy a dictionary that defines "improv"? That sounds like a neat idea.

Bored? No. This is actually the most exciting thread happening on CiN right now. I, for one, would be delighted to see photo man actually address Ritty's claims.

Not very much to address that hasn't already been addressed in the previous thread. I have already offered a re-shoot free of charge.

Since the offer was declined, what more do I have to say to Mo and Corey...?

I really would love to have nothing to do with either of them, from this very moment, until the end of time...but oddly, they keep re-entering my life.

I am glad to provide entertainment for you fine folks, but ultimately, I have posted here to make a little side cash doing head shots for people that may not be able to afford Rance or other photogs. A deal that seems to me like I would be helping out people who are just getting started in Chicago's improv community.

It is unfortunate that one customer, out of probably about forty, was not satisfied. I offered a re-shoot, and I stand by the fact that I will not be giving any refund. If you want a refund, go get your portrait done at sears and tell them you don't like it. This is my job, my career, and if I take 2 hours to shoot you, and you leave with a disc, I have earned your money. I will keep it...fooooorrrrevvver.

Don't hold your breath, Annie Leibovitz. Chicago is a smaller town than you think and I'm sure as fuck not going to recommend your services to my clients.

Yes, you did offer a re-shoot, but you also offered to photoshop the pictures that you fucked up. I still have not received those and that's the whole reason I'm pissed. Do you not get that?

Oh and when I picked out my "favorite" shots at your place, 8 out of 10 of them had the weird shadows on my face. You even admitted that. I would not have picked them and left as a happy customer, but you said you could easily fix them. Then you didn't do it. In fact, they came back worse.

To say you won't offer a refund is dickish enough, especially when you didn't give me what you promised. Still I'd be willing to overlook that if you would just give me some useable pictures...since that's what I paid you to do.

Speaking of ice cream, Ben & Jerry's free cone day is next Tuesday, April 29. I'll remind you all then, but mark your calendars, too.

You know, Matt once offered me a waffle cone. When I got it it was actually a sugar cone. I was outraged. He said he would take the sugar cone and try to make it a waffle cone and he never did. He offered me a new cone, but I just simply couldn't take it.

The only resolution I can offer is a re-shoot. Both parties have acted immature, I am willing to put that aside. If she can find time, I will re-shoot.

So what happened to your offer to fix the photos I already have? Why is that now out the window?
