Last year, we mounted two showcases of three shows each; this year we are shifting to two shows per showcase, with new rounds of auditions every 8 weeks or so. Individual shows have the opportunity to extend their runs after the showcases. One of last year's shows, <i>Fugue</i>, will be remounted later this year.

The TM II showcase garnered praise from the Trib: <i>"The kind of work they're doing is a worthy alternative to what you'll find at improv mainstays such as i.O. or Annoyance."</i>

This will follow with "border pieces" scenes- illustrating the close relationships of the main characters, and then scenes that fill in the rest of the "puzzle" of the show's narrative. It is a story told out of sequence and in chunks, in such a way that the audience gets the whole picture by at the close of the show.</font></td>

Hello, all-
I just learned that the auditions@theatremomentum.com email was bouncing back to some folks, when they replied to this audition notice. I apologize for that; our email system is not spectacular, I'm finding out. If you have attempted to reply to this audition notice and it got bounced back, it should be working now.

If you can't get through, you can reply back to info@theatremomentum.com, or my personal email, tonyrielage@yahoo.com. Again, my apologies for the inconvenience. That'll teach me to use an email system known as "SquirrelMail". Never heard of it? Yeah, me, either.

See you all at the auditions.

SquirrelMail is just a web-based mail client, and has nothing to do with bouncing email.

Sincerely,

It's not mentioned in the above post, but Found in Translation, another show that originated with Theatre Momentum, has independently gone on and has had three successful runs in other venues, including the Skybox and CIC, with a fourth run planned at The Playground.

I'm not involved in FiT, and I think they deserve their props.

It's true! They've been playing all over the place, and will be at SnubFest, too. Definite props to them. James Honey, Sarah Albritton, and the gang have taken the ball and run with it. I wish we'd had things together enough to give 'em a place to play, when TM II closed last year. Live n' learn.

The plan, this year, is that TM will have space already lined up for shows that wish to continue/extend/remount. That's what's going on with Fugue, and what could potentially happen with Jigsaw, Mixtape, or any of the other TM shows. Yay, progress.

Also big ups to the cast of '97 Bulldogs for working to get that going again. It's a complex, intelligent show- what was it? "A smart sensitive premise"? (Kerry Reid, Reader) Should be great to see that get its sea legs again. I'm lookin' at you, Frymire.

These slots are filling up quickly. We're already over half full, so drop a line if you're interested in auditioning, and if you have a specific time slot you're interested in, say so, or you'll go wherever there's room. Thanks!

These slots are very nearly fully. Given that there are generally a handful of no-shows for auditions, we'll be accepting walk-ins, if there's room for you in a given slot. Time slots are capping at 12 players max. Please bring headshot/resume (or equivalent- we don't stand on ceremony).

If you definitely want a slot, shoot an email as soon as you can to snag one of the few left. Please note when you'd like to have your slot.

Thanks!
