View Full Version : The Riches on FX
Is it just me or is this show a marriage between Big Love and Six Feet Under? I'm talking tone and writing style here.
I kind of love it-- it's quirky and smart and has well formed characters...and SC Chicago alum Todd Stashwick plays a pretty evil gypsy cousin on it.
I think this show is worth a watch if you haven't caught it yet...

I have every episode on my TIVO.
I need to find time to work my way through them, though. I am anticipating that it's going to be a good show.

I watched (DVR'ed) the first couple episodes, and I loved it. To a point.
That said, the behemoth that is Planet Earth in HD is systematically eating the entirity of my DVRs memory. SO I have had to make some cuts. The Riches being one of them.
So I have been lagging in first run viewing of this show. Only catching it when it is randomly replayed. I might have to wait for the DVDs of Planet Earth to come out. Then I could liberate my DVR and pray for a marathon FX Saturday Style.
I live an absolutely excrutiating life. Trials/Tribulations people.

I absolutely love it. It's dark, sad, funny and has Eddie Izzard.

I loooove this show!!! I brought it up a few weeks ago and I got shut down, so I'm glad others are watching it too. But you are totally right, the writing is truly great, dark, witty, I'm sold. And I love Minnie Driver and Eddie Izzard, I think they have a great chemistry together. This week's epidsode was solid, in my opinion, they keep getting better and better.
