Gettin hitched - name change in IL?

So I'm getting married in three weeks (woohoo!) and will be changing my name. I've started looking up the steps one needs to take to do so in Illinois, and have found various information. I've also heard of some horror stories about getting everything done officially and efficiently.

Anyone out there gone through this and could give a gal some advice?

I got married in Wisco but I think the process is fairly simple. You do everything all at once I think yes? Just plan a day to take care of it and you'll be fine.

I kept my name. Taking your husbands name is an archaic practice.

Maybe your husband had a supergay name? Yeah, totes.

The only hitch will be if they require blood tests...I'd google this noise.
