My sister's wedding is in May. Need to find someone reliable and inexpensive to alter my bridesmaid dress. Someone who won't ruin my dress or gyp me off (so un-PC!)
anyway, who do you recommend?
who should I stay away from?

Probably on the expensive side, but I felt like a real STAR going into Paul Chang Tailors in the 180 N. LaSalle building.
Actually, you know it's expensive if you can pay the rent on a storefront inside a downtown building, but...
He did the costumes for Road to Perdition and other movies shot here and has tons of signed headshots in his store.
Also, the other customers in there looked like the set that uses tailors regularly, and they were choosing him - got a suit altered there, was happy with the results.

Thank you, cosmicpowers! That looks great, but I'm worried it might be a little pricey. I'll keep it on my list, though.
Anyone have any other recommendations. Preferably for places on the northside?

This is Mikaela under Tony's name.
Carrie, I swear the bestest place ever is on Southport. It's called Very Best. I think it's at Southport and Roscoe. I got a Bridesmaid dress altered there and I think it was $18. And they are fast. And good.
ALso, this was a lie, it's Tony. I Wear dresses.
