Is anyone still watching this? If so, let's talk about last night's excellent episode!!

I'm a long-time Survivor fan, but this season was boring me to the point where I was thinking "Why am I still watching this?". Last night changed that all around. I watch for the strategy, and last night's was awesome!

So, anyone else?

I'm glad I didn't have to start this thread. Best episode as far as back stabbing and flip-flops.

SPOILERS

Watching the faces of Alex, Ed, and Mookie get so big and smiley when the first three votes were Casandra were great. Combined with the mild looks of "hmm. That's different" from the other 'alliance.' Then watching those smiles fade ever so slightly when Dreams' "Mookie" vote came up because it didn't read "Alex" like they thought. Then watching Alex, Ed, and Mookie drop into despair as all of the "Ed" votes came up. And Dreams' realization that the group he helped win had played him by voting "Ed" instead of "Mookie."

I can't wait until next week and I'm glad they're re-hiding the immunity idol.

Woohoo!! I'm not the only one!

Exactly! When they were discussing all the different plans, like "Ok, vote for Eguardo. Don't tell Dreamz", I couldn't believe they had it in them!! Who knew Stacey would 1) go with that alliance and 2) plot so deviously against her former alliance. All surprises. And those facial expressions were GREAT!

Mookie & Alex are going to have to work hard if they want to turn this around, and I don't think they can. However, I also don't think the Earl-Cassandra-Yau alliance is as strong as they think. Boo & Stacey are the real ones that could swing this game if they wanted to. However, my heart is with Yau-Man, so I'm hoping he stays on top. He's truly one of the greatest Survivors ever. (Guess growing up in Borneo helps that...)

At the same time, if anyone's watching lightbulbs should have gone off over everyone's head when Yau won that immunity challenge that he will win the game. Yau Man's a monstrous threat. Even Earl should want him gone. They should try and get him out, but it's probably too late. I'm not sure anyone even sees it yet.

You're completely right... ESP on the part that no one notices! He's fantastic because even though he can dominant in challenges, no one notices! (Or at least, so the editing has us believe thus far...)

Oh my gosh!!! I just got to watch Thursdays episode last night. It has to be by far the best ep of Survivor in years!!! Yau is my fave, no one has wanted to believe that he's the strongest player, even as he continues to win challenge after challenge.

The look on Alex and Mookie's faces was classic, I had to rewind and see it again...priceless. This week is going to be really interesting. Did you guys check out the previews? They find Yau's immunity idol....this makes me nervous because he is becoming a real threat for the rest. If they steal his idol I'm crackin' Survivor skulls.

Who do you think is out this week???? My guess, Dreamz, unless he wins the challenge (which he just might)....then.....Mookie, since he's the one who spilled the beans to Dreamz about the idol in the first place.

Oh man, so good, I love it!!

Did anyone see Edgardo's post 'the tribe has spoken' interview at the end of the show? His last words were something like "I really don't like Cassandra."

Cassandra!?!? It like not liking an adorable puppy that wants to cuddle in your lap. Jeez.

And I'm on the Yau-man boat too, I'd love to see an older, seemingly less physical player win...and I love watching him get excited, it makes me giggle.

I hope Alex and Mookie find the yau-man idol and strut up to tribal council like to pigs in crap and find out it's fake. Then I hope Yau-man does a happy dance with Jeff Probst.

I've seen every episode of every Survivor and every Amazing Race.

Last week's episode was brilliant. I was kind of upset that they gave away the voting results before Tribal Council, but the look on Alex and Mookie's face was amazing! So great.

If you love Survivor like I love Survivor, do me a solid and go over to Chicagoist.com and give me a recommend?

I'm not one to fish for recommends, but I'm tired of being harped on for enjoying the tv that I enjoy. The hipsters over there aren't keen on the reality tv yo.

Here's the link....http://www.chicagoist.com/archives/2007/04/26/get_up_on_survivor.php

THANKS!

Thanks Heather!

Seriously, if everyone's too cool to watch Survivor, how does it keep making it to the top 20 every week?

YAY!

mookie was also hatin' on cassandra. granted she sent him to exile island but who else was she going to send, mooks? and they can't be editing out cassandra being a biotch because some of that would still make the cut or at least people would talk about her bitchiness. so i have no idea where edgardo's hate came from. i guess he just couldn't handle being mookless.

that was the best episode ever. i don't know if i've ever seen an immunity idol actually used. i like that they re-buried it. i want to see someone dig up Yao's fakey.

stacey really came alive last week but it may be too late

i want Yao or Earl. Earl should win but there's no way he'll get the votes if Yao makes it to the end.

Alex was super-smart this episode in voting for Mookie, and super-lucky that the 6 alliance went for a stupid split. A split is just dumb (although I'm surprised that they all remembered who they were supposed to vote for), and Alex just proved why. I wonder if any of them were shocked to see that last Mookie vote - if so, we didn't get to see it. I was also waiting for Mookie to be pissed in his "final words" at Alex, but it appears he was just happy to get out of the game.

Decent episode, I guess. But really, how could they top last weeks? It probably won't be interesting again until Final 4 or 5.

I love how Alex and Mookie thought every move they made was shaking up the game. Nothing they did or said effected anyone.

I also love how Alex called everyone snakes and rats and then he voted for his best friend Mookie.

Amazing how much I love Yau-Man, and how much I was rooting against him this last episode. Alex was very smart & I just wanted to see his power play work. Now those outlying members of the alliance (Dreamz, Stacy, maybe even Cassandra) are screwed or will have to work hard this next episode. At this point, I think I'm rooting for Cassandra or Dreamz to take it all, although I think as long as Stacy or Boo don't win, I'll be happy.

I was TOTALLY rooting against yau-man, too! I wanted an upset soo badly! I mean, I love him and think it's awesome how skillful he's being, but you want to see everyone playing smart, if you know what I mean. And playing smart would be to sneak attack him and flsuh out the idol and get him out of the competition. I love it when this happens at this stage, where the last Pagonged person very accurately points out that they're the tribe's last shot at having the numbers to cause a coup. It never goes that way, but some day, some day...

dreamz has gotten a ton of loving camera time since the frist episode, I'm pretty sure he's going to the f3, based on the attention. I predict Dre, YM and Earl for F3, as a matter of fact. What about you guys?

Jordana

I think a Dre, YM & Earl Final 3 would be the best we could hope for, b/c all 3 of them would have a solid reason to vote for them as the winner. They've all contributed to the alliance mix-ups this season and have been powerful. Whereas, last season we really only had a Final 2 (Ozzy & Yul) with Becky just sitting there - that was boring and obvious. I would much prefer a Final 3 where I really thought that any of the 3 had a shot if they made their case at the final Tribal. Given the Final 6 we have, let's hope that Dre, YM & Earl are our Final 3! (However, I think that Earl and YM are too smart to bring Dreamz along, and will drag one of the other 3 in as they know they wouldn't have a shot, like Becky).

First off, I don't think there should be a final three like there was last season, that was dumb and anticlimactic. Let's just have our final two like always? All these changes give me hives.

BUT, I think final 3 will be Yao, Earl and gosh...this is actually hard, maybe Cassandra. I'm telling you, that woman is way more dangerous than she appears. All she does is agree with and repeat what someone just said to her. She hasn't had to lie, or cheat or steal yet. I'm looking at you Cassandra, hard.

I'm already planning a very special Survivor Sunday. I don't know what necessarily is going to be very special about it, but something is...Survivor cookies or something. Either way, what started out as an ass season has turned into a pretty dramatic season...watching Alex trying to climb that pole on his own had me standing and screaming in my apartment.

I was shouting shouting! at the television during that challenge. It was so awesome how they cut away to show all three poles so you could see it wasn't fancy editing: they were truly neck and neck.

my boyfriend told me that on Survivor live the next day, Alex reported that he got really jacked up on that challenge. A staff infection and some other strains that lasted with him for months. God I love this show.

My theory why the final three is around because of the Terry Aras season and the Tom/Ian/Katie fiasco (I thought it was b.s. that Ian stepped down during the challenge out of guilt) . Both of which had two strong players battling for final two, not for sole surivior.

Watching Alex try to climb that pole without the paddles, I was sure he was going to slip and gash his leg on the metal brackets that the paddles were supposed to slide into.

Sounds like maybe he did cut himself if he got a staff infection.
