Happy New Year everyone!
I would like to officially announce that Chicago Improv Festival Productions is extending the deadline for accepting submissions to CIF 2008 until Monday, January 21 at 5pm, CST.
I also want to apologize for the confusion over our website's text about what information we are seeking in the submissions. Because CIF Artistic Director Mark Sutton and I have both been so busy with other various theatre duties these past few months, we thought it would be easier to make a simpler submission process and just boil everything down to what we needed most to consider each submission.
Unfortunately, this didn't work very well as we have heard back from several improvisers that they have been looking for a more detailed submission process, like CIF has asked for in the past, and like most other festivals currently ask for. I truly appreciate everyone's interest in sending in a submission to CIF, as well as everyone's interest in making sure the process was done correctly. I am sorry that we have made this process harder for everyone rather than easier as we aimed for.
I will have a submission form up on CIF's website within the next two days, but if you want to submit to CIF what you have already put together, please do so.
