Where can I get my "groove" on?

About once every five years I decide it is time to dance. Any suggestions on good dance clubs? God, it's been so long, do they still call them dance clubs or have we gone back to calling them "discos".

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try Smartbar, which is in the basement of the Metro, on Clark just a little north of Addison.

They have an excellent line-up of DJs on rotation and it is definitely less pretentious then most dance clubs. Another plus is the 4am closing time (5 on Saturdays). This is also kinda a minus as it is empty until after midnight, and doesn't get rocking til 2am.

I dig Darkroom - but it's all the way in the Ukranian Village... Debonair or Subterannean over in WP aren't too bad, but they can get crazy crowded, so yeah.

I'm a fan of Sonotheque (http://www.sonotheque.org/default.php). It has a really great sound system.

Yup, it is and everytime I've gone there I've had a blast. They have some nights that are tributes to specific artists. I think they have a Madonna night once a month and I was there once for a Goldfrapp night. It's a blast.
