I like Jimmy Kimmel, but I've never been a huge fan of his. After watching this interview with Gawker.com editor, Emily Gould, I am now, well, still not huge fan, but I do like him a little bit more. Check out her eyes through out the the interview

Awesome.
Someone should start a website that follows her around and posts her real-time locations.

Yeah, it's funny how she acts like a dumb little girl when she says there's a real shift in what's private and what's public- even though it's her steering the wheel.
She totally looked like she had just gotten off the phone with a girlfriend saying "Oh my god! I just found out I get to be interviewed by the dude from the Man Show instead of Larry King! Wheeee!"
Yeah...well, I don't really share in the perception that Jimmy Kimmel put this girl in her place. In my opinion, he comes off as a gigantic PUSSY, as do his two little crybaby friends. And her reaction is justified disbelief that these guys are actually whining about a frivolous website as though their lives were in danger.

Agreed. Gawker is pretty innocuous. Jimmy Kimmel is pretty much a jerk.

I think Jimmy Kimmel does a good job and that she comes across as an idiot.
She says, "It doesn't really happen in real time" and then two minutes later says, "What they read it for is the immediacy...You get an unfiltered the way people perceive celebrities in real time that you don't get from any other media."
She's an ass who is making money off stalking people - or worse - helping people stalk other people without any regard for who she's giving the information to or for the safety of those she's helping others to stalk.
Nobody deserves to be stalked just because they are famous. I often will be the first to be like - you're famous, get used to it, stop complaining. But this is ridiculous.
She's irresponsible and stupid and selfish.
I HAVE SPOKEN.

Her interview is ripe with contradictions. And in the end, she justifies her actions by stating that it's okay because celebrities have money. I hate it when people do that

Pfffft... it's harmless.
Let's look at what's really important here:
Jimmy Kimmel is on CNN. Someone thought HE was the best person to "get to the bottom of this" as if he is a real journalist or reporter. He is wearing suspenders and pretending he is Larry King.
He says "I want you to think about your life, and weigh your options." This coming from the pathetic ass who created such gold as "The Man Show," featuring girls jumping on trampolines. He is not one to talk about who will "end up in hell." I don't think he should be in hell, but he should be able to recognize that celebrity gossip is just for fun, just like his piece of shit television show.
Also, I love how he had to point out the time he was mentioned on the website. We all know he was just happy to be considered a celebrity, whether or not the statement on the site was true!
Jimmy Kimmel, live on CNN!? Lame!
From what I've seen of the website, nobody's being "stalked". People just post when they've seen a celebrity around town. They made the mistake of putting the word "stalker" in the title. Jimmy Kimmel's concern is how he's going to make an interesting show out of a lame-ass topic.

but they post where specifically that celebrity is, in nearly real-time. it's not like people are saying "hey, I saw Michael Jordan at the airport over the weekend". it's more like "hey, it's 2pm and Angelina Jolie is currently eating at Osteria, wearing a brown jacket, having the pasta."
if the website didn't want to, they don't have to post the time of the sighting nor do they have to post them with such immediacy. that's the irresponsible part.
