Ooops! I think I posted this in the wrong spot originally. But, now I've set myself straight. I'm new here.

Hey, Cool Peeps!

Amanda Rountree here--that girl from Seattle.
I want to coach YOUR improv group!

Perhaps I should be more specific... If your group is interested in and excited about learning new forms, revitalizing the team's energy, and/or just stepping out of the Chicago-improv box, I'm your lady!

I'd really love to direct some groups that have more than say, 5 or 6 years experience improvising. But I'm also super excited to coach cool, motivated beginner-teams as well.

Although I'm new to Chi-town, I have 15 years of professional improv experience. To save you from having to google me, I have cut and pasted my third-person bio below for your perusal. ;)

Amanda Rountree has been performing improvisational theatre professionally since 1992 and teaching it since 1998. She relocated to Chicago this summer from Seattle where she was a performer and instructor with Unexpected Productions and a performer and co-artistic director of Playback Theater Northwest. She has entertained audiences in seven countries (not to mention many North American cities) utilizing a wide variety of styles, disciplines, and formats. She recently showcased many of her talents in the popular show, Impress These Apes. You can currently see her on stage in the Beast Women Cabaret, or at the Playground Theatre with Damascus Steel. She is a resident teaching artist with Apple Tree Theatre and Lifeline Theatre.

Send me a message if you'd like to meet and see if I'm a good fit for your ensemble!

Thanks for reading, and break legs in all of your shows!
~Amanda

PS: I will soon be offering an awesome workshop for experienced improvisers. More to come.....
