to quote Dwight Schrute...

QUESTIONNN:

so, i've got my 30gig video ipod, right? i'm trying to synch up TV episodes i've downloaded to iTunes in the past and have previously watched on my ipod (they've since been removed from my ipod again).

how the heck do i get JUST the specific episodes i checked (in their little boxes in itunes) synched up to my ipod? when i try to synch now, it either just completely erases all files on my ipod, or tells me it can't synch up every single TV episode i have DL'ed to iTunes (um, duh) because there's not enough space left on my ipod.

but i JUST want the specific episodes i checked to download to my ipod. yet iTunes doesn't seem to give me that option in the menus in itunes when my pod is hooked up. boo. lame.

can a level 37 techoid give a level 6 techoid a hand?

thanks,
A

and yes, in case you're wondering, i'm trying to watch seasons 2 and 3 of BSG again. that's why this is so urgent. thanks.

Have you tried creating a video playlist of the specific episodes you want to watch?

If you currently have your settings to autosync, try turning that off. Then manually drag and drop the videos you want to watch onto your iPod. Then you can turn on the autosync on again.

I have the autosync turned off, and I'm able to pick and choose which videos go onto my iPod. Some of the episodes I purchased I watched on my computer and never put onto my iPod. I also have a program that I purchased ($30) that can tell me which files aren't synced up and is able to move files from my iPod onto my computer. This makes it easier to leave the autosync off.

I've done a similar thing with podcasts (I have a mini). I have mine set up to autosync the latest 3 episodes on my iPod, but I still drag extra episodes on there. I don't think I even had to turn autosync off.

thanks you guys. that did it... i set itunes to "manually manage music and videos," then i was able to click-drag whatever vids i wanted to my ipod. worked like a charm.

thanks!
