Any plans for the awards this year?? Just curious, last year's was fun. Especially watching Ben Johnson yell out stuff from the audience. Priceless.

Maybe its going to be an every other year event?

Don't worry. It'll be handled by that one highly-organized improviser who likes giving up a large amount of their abundant free time.

They, in turn will hunt down more improvisers to handle bits for the show. This will obviously be deadline-driven and I think we all know how well improvisers handle fulfilling deadlines.

Months later, all of that work will manifest itself into a one-night show at the theater, attended by a group of improvisers who had no intention of helping out with the show, but will come together under the banner of "This isn't as good as it used to be" or "Man, you call these drink specials?" and "These special effects suck major ass".

I'll be in the latter group. I'll be sitting at the bar doing bits about the people onstage doing bits, getting shitfaced.

I really hope this happens. Get on this, Highly-Organized Improviser.

Plus, after a long hiatus, the coolers at iO have finally been restocked with my beloved Budweiser. I'll be sucking a few down at the end of the bar later tonight. I'm still counting the days until they start pouring Cuervo again. Then, I'll have no reason to ever go home to my apartment.

A lifer, Jonesy. Until Charna catches me cheating on her, that is.
