With the combination of weather, traffic and CTA troubles, how late were you to work today?
I was 30 minutes late.

One hour, 15 minutes late. Left at 6:30, got here at 8:45. 35 miles @ ~12mph.

25 minutes late. Whattashitstorm. I wait on the corner of Western and Lawrence. Two 49B's showed up, but they terminate one block later. Then an 49X (treme!) showed up, but it was so full maybe five more people could fit on. The bus driver shouted, "There's another bus directly behind me!" Which was true, and it passed us without slowing down. Another too-full bus passed, then I was able to board.
Fortunately, due to the fact the buses were so back-stacked, this one was nearly empty. All the people waiting along with me got a seat. A fourteen year-old girl promptly fell asleep on my shoulder, then woke up in time to get off at Roberto Clemente High School, prominently featured in Uprise's latest skateboarding video, "Chicago's Finest."

30 minutes. I was supposed to be here early today so I can cut out for a little early...BOO! But my boss isn't even here so no one knows what's up! Yay!

Our work is supposed to have a rooftop party today at Murphy's to watch the Cubs game and celebrate us slaving our rears off while the higher ups took many vaca's and half days.
All I have to say is the Cubs better not cancel. At least just let us drink there on the company.
Took me almost an hour and a half to get to work. (25 miles) I guess that's not too bad. I've had worse commutes.

I was actually 30 minutes EARLY. I needed to come to work early anyway, and the CTA (red & brown) seemed fine for me (around 7:15 a.m). But several people in my office aren't here yet. One of my bosses gets in everyday at some ungodly early hour, so he was surprised to see me so early. I think I look like a good employee today. Maybe I can get out early (for good behavior).

30 minutes. Trains slow in arriving and then, somehow, stacked up heading south on the brown line. Luckily, like Ms. Lewis, my boss is also not in today, so no one knows.

I was on time. I left early since it was sleeting. Being late gives me a stomach ache.
But my co-worker saw the actual fire on the red line tracks that caused the delays.

40 minutes. The inner drive to Belmont was sloooooooow. The outer drive into the Loop was sloooooow. The walk to and from the bus was 30 kinds of "gofuckyourself."

My commute from Atlanta to Chicago was actually quicker than normal, and I shaved 5 minutes off of my best time. The walk to Metra kinda sucked rocks though.

I was an hour late, but it had nothing to do with the weather. I just accidentally overslept.
The sleet made for a good excuse though.

haven't left yet. so, I'm now about 3 hours late and counting. I may never attend my 8:45 class again.

I am not in Chicago, however, I was an hour and half late to work today.
My boss called me last night to ask if I was coming in, I said, no matter how I feel, I will be there.
So, I think he was pleased just to see me.

I was 30 minutes late.
I was on time as usual. This is due mainly to the fact that I'm not a whiny crybaby with an excuse for everything.
Bite me.

I agree with EdO. I actually left 10 minutes later than normal but I was still into work 10 minutes EARLY. The Red Line was super fine. No problems.
