I have a set of 5 dining room chairs that I want to reupholster. Does anyone have any skills in this matter that would be willing to do this for money? It's just the seats, not the whole chair or anything.
You could physically do it for some cash, or if folks wanna share their expertise on line, everyone would benefit.

Pop the seat out, stretch the new material over it, secure with a staple gun. I think that is it.

While I'm sure there's some "fancy" way to do this, my mother and I have definitely followed the stretch the fabric and staple gun approach with much success. I think the chairs on Mom's back porch are on their third color. And you can buy new foam padding at Joanne's or the equivalent, if your chairs are a little squishy too...

if you don't have a staple gun, the hot glue/duct tape combo works just fine. i mean, unless you're dealing with nice antiquey stuff. then you might want to get a bit more serious about ti.

You can buy new stuffing and backing at fabric stores along with your pattern.
An anal note about it....
Lay them out next to each other to make sure the patterns match...Staple them all at once..... Depends on the pattern too... It might not be necessary.
