I love the science and art of game design.
Halo design article from Wired Magazine. (http://www.wired.com/gaming/virtualworlds/magazine/15-09/ff_halo)

yeah, I read this article. The science almost takes the fun out of the game...I said almost.
I never actually played Halo, but thinking about picking up the PC version since I don't have an Xbox. Anyone know how it compares?

I've never seen it anywhere near as smooth as on an XBOX.
However, online play is possible on PC and Macs, whereas on XBOX you only get the sweet 16 player LAN action.
Needless to say, HALO 3 has me seriously coveting the XBOX 360 again.

Yeah, the LAN action was always the best because you get instant gratification when you frag someone. Now with online play you have to imagine their reaction...

I could never get over the time I had to pick a friend up because he had to take a TV and X-Box to a LAN party.
LANs are great if everyone can use a laptop. Otherwise, yikes. I only have Wii parties. I don't get it. Bring the online! I like it.
