I just read on the E! News ticker that NBC will be cancelling Andy Barker PI and will be showing the final two episodes on Saturday. This sucks so hard!!!!

Wow, Andy Richter just can't catch a break ... I loved Andy Richter Controls the Universe, and thought the first episode of Andy Barker was pretty good. Bad timing, maybe? Personally, I wasn't able to find the time to watch it, though I certainly carved time out for 30 Rock. Maybe try naming a character something other than Andy? It seems to be bad luck.

I loved this show, but yeah, who didn't see this coming? TV is such a crapshoot lately. Tons of great shows popping up, all of them treated like a three-eyed fish.
Sad indeed. This was a good show. Meanwhile... "24" suuuuuuuuucks this season. I'm sorry but it does.

I started watching the show, because Slate ran an article titled "Watch Andy Barker P.I., Before It's Cancelled and Gains Cult Status on DVD." (http://www.slate.com/id/2162960/)
I love it, but it's probably the least mainstream comedy that's ever been attempted on a major network. Even Arrested Development had Michael as the "normal" guy who could assure the audience that "yes, these people are crazy." The eps of Andy Barker I've seen drop you into his world-- no winks, no nods, no irony. It reminds me of Susan Messing's "that's just Jenny" bit.

I liked it. Specifically for his wife and the patriarch guy from Fargo. They were funny. I can't help but think the episodes got progressively worse, though.
But this show has to be better then half the shit out there. So this kinda sucks. I am a fan of Ricther's and have seen him do some of the more memorable bit parts on a ton of shows. It's interesting that he is more commercially successful (literally) as a sidekick.
