Disney Auditions

Disney Auditions is seeking male and female Comedic Improvisational Actors for the Comedy Warehouse at Pleasure Island as well as various interactive shows at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Seeking performers with advanced comedic improvisational scene skills, good singing and characterization abilities.

Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and a United States citizen. All performers should bring a non-returnable photo and resume. Please be prepared to do musical improvisation (i.e. 12 bars of the blues) and perform a one-minute comedic monologue of your choosing. You also may be asked to perform a cold reading or improvisational games.

All entertainers employed by The Walt Disney World Resort are covered under the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement with the Actors’ Equity Association.

We strongly encourage performers from all cultural backgrounds to attend.

WHEN: Saturday, April 28th, 2007
Registration opens at 9:00am
Auditions will be held from 10:00am-4:00pm (6 actors/10minutes)

Location: St. Alphonsos school (they're in back of the Athenaeum Theatre). The address is 1439 W. Wellinton, Chicago, IL 60657. The entrance is in the back off of Oakdale St.

Note: CIF 2007 performers will be given priority in receiving audition slots, but all improvisers are most welcome to audition!

This is really cool, easy going audition. I did it last year and am now working for Disney on a full time contract. Sure, Disney has it's critics, but an actor down here is well taken care of. Very good working conditions, Actors Equity,lots of other opportunities for growth(both within Disney and outside) and just solid performing experience.
