pHreedom pHalls:: pHreedom Idol – The 11th “season” of this improvised TV show promises to be wilder than ever as pH satirizes America’s favorite reality show. Improvisers compete and sing live to win the favor of the pHreedom Idol judges and the audience! They witness the live taping of the show and give suggestions to steer the episode. The audience can even bring props to be used by the cast and vote for their favorite contestant! New singers every week!
Fridays @ 11PM. $10. BYOB. Stage Left Theatre. Open Run.

In pHreedom pHalls, the audience is in the studio for a live taping and witnesses the chaos that goes into making each episode of this popular TV show. The title refers to the show’s perpetual setting, a sleepy little town somewhere in America. It’s a darn nice place to live.
The show begins as soon as the audience buys their tickets. Once they enter the soundstage they are at the mercy of the Stage Manager, who is busily preparing the set. The Stage Manager will ask the audience for an episode title and a prop to use throughout the show. Then the episode begins with clips from last week and the opening theme. During the commercial breaks, the audience gets treated to a behind-the-scenes look at how a TV show is made and how all the actors really feel about each other.
After every eight week “season” of pHreedom pHalls, a new cast takes over to create an entirely new style and cast of characters. Previous seasons have paid homage to such TV classics as Cheers, M*A*S*H, ALF, Saved by the Bell and Highway to Heaven.
Going into its 11th season, the creators of pHreedom pHalls wanted to create a truly unique experience. This incarnation promises to be wilder than ever, as our 3 judges deal with what the town of pHreedom pHalls has to offer and hear our contestants sing live every week. The audience can even vote for their favorite contestant and there will be new singers every week!
Season 11 stars: Chris Edwards, Aaron Ellsworth, Jeff Ford, Marty Gangler, Spike McGuire, Alaina Hoffman and features Melissa Cathcart.
