Yup, new season is about to start. From the teasers I've seen, it's looking great as always. I'm celebrating with a commemorative avatar.

I really really want to see what Vic does if/when he eventually learns who killed Lem.

Bloody hell! Why did I read this thread?

I just got through DVDs of seasons 1-2, and I'll probably rent 3 and 5 (Dennis already has 4) from Blockbuster, if 5 is even available. Nobody tell me nothin'!

more Ronnie!!

Wish granted in the last episode, eh?

Dammit, Vic. Figure it out. Look in Shane's eyes, recognize the guilt, then go ape shit.

Damn. It.

oh ya. next week is gonna rule. Shane breaks down. wonder if he's gonna kill himself.

How about Dutch's new partner givin him shit and calling him out every episode now. That guy was the whipping boy and now he's making dutch look like a freak. good swurve.

I also like the freak out Macky did in the Hospital where you could only hear the sound intermittently.

This weeks Sopranos was the ill shit too. especially the tension they built up on the boat Tony and Paulie took out. incredible.

I need to watch this sometime. One of the writer/producers grew up on my street and carpooled with my big sister.

One of my first memories of watching the World Series was the 1980 Phillies vs Royals game in their house. I was five.

I didn't recognize Gardocki at first in this episode.

This all happened fast when they went to talk to Hernan (the undercover Fed) but did they actually get good intel on the mass murder before they started talking about Lem's killer? All I could tell was Hernan thought it was some Mexicans, not the Salvadorans.

Anyone else think Vic's friend that he did that job with is gonna get him in trouble?

ya I don't think talking to Hernan was to further the storyline of the 12 machete murders. But more for Vic to really think that Lemme's killer wasn't Guardo. and the way that shane was behaving I think that Vic already knows it was him. I think it woulda been good to have shane kill himself and then Maura has to give a statement and all the press shit next episode. and then it all comes crashing down around Vic. but it'll be damn good whatever happens.

I miss Forest Whitaker-

I thought it was gonna play out where Shane takes the gun and pulls the trigger on his head to kill himself, but nothing happens because Corrin had the bullets removed by the cop at the hospital before giving it back to Mara. Guess not, though.

ooooo nice. that woulda worked if he didn't have the gun on his hip and it was just sitting there on a counter top or end table.

Well, now Vic knows.

Shit's goin' down.

And Vic might have found a way for his review board to go well. Pretty great stuff...

Also, I'm pulling for Dutch to get it on with the hot chick. I know they're playing it up that Hyatt and her are digging each other. But I want Dutchman to get some.

I've come to the conclusion after 5 season either Shane's going to off Ronnie or Ronnie's going to get out scott free

I've been waiting for Ronnie to be the proverbial "Red Shirt" on the squad for sometime, and my emotional attachment to the character has grown the more he defies expectation.

Paula Garces is terrible, the character of Tina is terrible, did they bring her back just to give "new guy" some tail

Personally I'd love it if Tavon got a cameo and offed Shane :)

Michael Chiklis is interviewed on NPR's Fresh Air today. You can find it on the web. www.npr.org (http://www.npr.org)

Also, two of the writer/producers, Liz Craft and Sarah Fein, got their new show picked up by ABC today. "Women's Murder Club" based on the James Patterson novel/series. I grew up on Craft's street. Her dad bought my dad's car once.

Weird.

*Spoilers. In case you're catching up.*

Was any one else shocked at how sudden Shane found peace with killing Lem? At the end of two weeks ago, he was about to kill himself over it. This past week, he was almost flippant about it. Yes, I realize that his wife forgave him last episode, but to have a 180 degree turn in attitude that quickly? But I guess that could just be a testament to the power of a woman.

is there any doubt the contractor that's Aceveda's friend was the one who ended up fucking the undercover agent's cover?

Also Shane + Armenians = squealing that Ronnie and Vic hijacked the money train?

As soon as Acaveda told that developer about Hernan, I knew it was gonna be bad. Of course, Acaveda has always been a douche, but damn.

I hadn't thought about Shane telling the Armenians about the money train. I guess that's possible, but Shane would be in as much trouble as Vic and Ronnie. That's really playing with fire.

I think CCH Pounder is the best person to run the barn yet. Glenn Close was good but I like how everybody can act like a regular cop around her when they are in a one on one situation. It's not shady like when Aciveda was runnin the show.

Aciveda also loves to suck felonius weiner. and Armenians cut people's feet off. Although I'm about a 20 cent raise in gas prices from shoving a gas nozzle down some Iraqi's throat too.

Peggy Bundy was decent too this past episode, and I want to punch Maura's face in.

Two things:

1) Vic and Ronnie driving off in the van, leaving the two Salvadorans behind with the Mexicans...that was some cold shit.

2) Why don't I know anyone trying to get back at someone by manipulating women to sleep with me?

OK, three things. Shane tells the Armenian chick about Vic "and his buddies" taking the money train? Wow! Season finale is going to be intense!

I agree with everything you said here. I thought it was an excellent episode. I hope the new guy and dutch get into a fist fight in the barn.

also. the Aceveda giving oral blackmail pic bit was good too.

Whoo-weee! I don't know how this is gonna end, but damn. Vic and Gardocki both almost get killed. Shane almost getting caught at the barn was great. I honestly have no idea who's getting out alive.

Man, last night's episode just shows how horrible the situation has become. Holy crap!

Shane and Mara's deal...fucking dire straits, man.

Then, Vic finally confessing everything he's done...I loved that scene! I loved the silence of him taking so long to finally decide to say it all. Olivia, I can't imagine what would be going through her head as she's listening to this stuff and the free pass she's just written him. Oh, and throwing Gardocki under the truck, damn.

Vic basically did to Ronnie what Shane did to Lem. Shane was tricked into thinking Lem was gonna give him up so he killed him to save his own ass. Vic was tricked into thinking Corrin was being arrested, and he threw Gardocki under the bus.

All of this and I have NO idea how it's going to play out next week. Who's gonna live? Who's gonna die? Who's gonna be thrown in jail for the rest of their life?

I fucking love this show!

sammy

I honestly have no idea how any of this will play out.

Random guesses:

Claudette: Demoted/Fired/Resigns -- Basically, no longer captain of the Barn

Dutch: Arrests Serial Killer Jr. ... but only after the kid offs his mother. Maybe promoted to Captain?

Gardocki: Jail

Shane: Dead or Jail

Mara and son: slap on the wrist

Aceveda: Escapes untainted, mayoral run intact

Vic's wife (blanking on name): No idea. Dead? Suicide?

Vic's daughter: Dead. Why? Having the only thing Vic cares about (and the reason he's done so much bad shit) ripped away from him would be a poetic justice of sorts, especially if he manages to keep his full immunity but then loses his job, his family and everyone's respect.

Vic: Alive, but either alone (see above) or jailed? I dunno, I could see Vic eating his gun to avoid jail.

God, I'll miss this show.

Chip

No way does Corrin (Vic's wife) commit suicide. She's doing all this to get away from Vic and have a life for her and her kids. no way she leaves them alive and her not.

Yeah, Gardocki in jail I think, or on the run in Mexico.

Aceveda clean as a whistle and next mayor of LA.

Shane. dead or jail.

Mara did murder someone and the cops know it. I don't think they can slap her on the wrist, not when they offered her a chance to get out and she passed. Tragic, but I think she's going to jail. No idea what happens to their kid or the unborn one. Foster care? (the crazy house that Glenn Close tried to shut down?)

Claudette, resigns, yeah, probably.

Captain Dutch sounds good once he catches Serial Jr.

And Vic? Either dead or free. But free like you said - free from the law, but everything he did it for is gone.

Oh, the drug cartel? Baleeted!
