iBook technician?

i have an iBook G4 with a busted screen. the genius bar said it would cost $900 to fix through apple, and suggested i either buy a new computer (of course), OR find an independent dealer to sell me an LCD for less, and some nice mac person to cut me a deal on installation.

can anyone recommend a good parts dealer, either online or in the city? and do you know anyone who could install it for me on the cheapsies? i'm hoping to keep this closer to $500 max.
