Hi Ever,

You might be asking yourself - Am I Ready For Open Court?

The answer is "yes".

There's more information here. (http://www.chicagoimprov.org/showthread.php?t=1216)

See you there,

I'd be a very poor shameless plugger, indeed, if I didn't mention...

Work(shop)-in-Progress (http://www.theatremomentum.com/workshopinprogress.htm)
Improv Theatre Lab. Free ya first time, just $5 after that. Boom. I've had several people say they get more out of WiP than they have out of most classes they've taken.

Bizarre. Awesome.

every week the forms change. and the term "longform" encompasses a lot of territory.

Whenever I've been there, Open Court has been long form. Some form where the group gets a suggestion and plays straight for 15-25 minutes depending on the size of the crowd and number of teams. Mainly, scenes.

Not games each with an introduction and each with a suggestion from the audience that last 2-3 minutes like you'd find at iO or other short form jams.

This Sunday, 10/28
6pm
Donny's Skybox Theatre (1608 N. Wells, top floor)
FREE

The student improv jam is run like a shortform show, but the players all come out of the audience. Each student tends to get up onstage 1-3 times, depending on the crowd.

And if not this time, the first 3 Sundays of each term.
