what game(s) are currently keeping you obsessed?

I just started up with City of Heroes again and I have a super neato Level 20 Ice/Heal Controller named CoolAid. She's boss.

I also can not stop playing this online game:

(warning: there's an amazingly annoying commericial when you link to that)

I've stopped COH for a while. It looks like the last update was too much for my poor, old computer to handle. Whenever I logon now, I am constantly starting and stopping. So, I've cancelled the account until I can upgrade my computer a bit.

In the meantime, I got out my old XBOX and finished a bunch of games that I started, but never finished. I finally beat XMen Legends and am currently working through Batman: Dark Vengeance. I am probably going to pick up MARVEL Alliance as my next game. That or one of the newer Call of Duty/ Medal of Honor games.

It is a relatively boring time in gaming for me.

Not much. Blue Dragon for 360 looks cool, that's out soon. My main home machine is a Mac now, so I don't have a lot of options.

Well, my Xbox is broken for the time being, so i've been dabbling in WoW. I have a level 17 Blood Elf paladin.

I miss my X-box.

Dan, before it broke i played the Blue Dragon Demo, and it was lame like most those RPGs, i'm guessing it will be hugely popular and a great game, but i just can't seem to find innovation in that shit anymore.

Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords / Dark Avatar Gold Edition (http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/galacticcivilizations2darkavatar)

Original game and expansion for $40 at Best Buy.

If you love the Heroes of Might Magic or CIV series, this game is for you. It's a tad overwhelming at first but so much fun. The shipbuilder part of the game alone is involving as hell.

How much fun is this game?

This past Tuesday night:

Just. One. More. Turn.

World of Warcraft.

I need to find it in me to get back into playing Wii.
I only bought it so younger kds would have a harder time finding one.

MWAHAHAHAHA!

City of Heroes forever.

Issue 9 is wonderful. The Invention Enhancements, the one's that give set bonuses, etc. It's all wonderful. I have a fire/radiation emission controller who just hit L-48 this morning. I've just started to do Unai's missions having finished Tina's. I've got three more of the Prae AV's to kill before I get Portal Jockey Accolade.

I don't think I will ever play a different game. CoH has all I need.

Issue 10 is another Rikti invasion. You can also transfer a character from one server to another now..... and if the name's taken already - you can rename your char.

Now if they'd only let chars transfer influence/infamy to each other like they do in WoW.....

::disappears again::

P.S. Happy Birthday Dave Gilley!

WoW is still top on my list, but I've been breaking out turns in a couple of Panzer Campaign series games. I have a Moscow '41 (Russians), Normandy '44 (Krauts), and Siciliy '43 (US/Canadians/Brits) game rocking right now.

For some daily workbreaks, Call of Duty 2 helps...

I really have to pick up "Overlord"...game is essentially "Dungeon Keeper 3" if anyone's heard of that game....

Wootsauce.

Same here. Also pulled out Vice City again, and very close to 5-starring all songs in Expert on GH1/2.

You rocking the Master League? I've been building up Chelsea with a kickass team now in 2010. Won the Treble last season on 3 stars. Kicked it up to 4 stars this season and am doing very well. In the League Cup final after spanking ManU 3-2 at home and then 4-1 at Old Trafford. About to play Barca in the Champions League Semi and am up about 7 points in the EPL. Playing a 3-4-3 with a lineup of this

GK- Chec
CB- Wittingham
CB- Terry
CB- Ferdanez
DMF- Kaiser
RMF- Messi
LMF- Zapata
AMF- Ronaldino
RWF- Rooney
SS- Diego Tardelli
CF- Fernando Torres

Bench-
CF- Eto'o
CMF- Shimizu
MF- Gambino
MF- Kallstrom
WF- Routledge

It's practically unfair. I have guys with 90 something attack ratings coming off the bench. Hell I traded a declining 85 CF for Messi who is 23 and awesome but was available b/c he was hurt for 5 weeks. I love the Winning Eleven. I even got the Mod that gives all the updated unis and team names.

Practically? The only thing you haven't done is pulled Klinsman out of retirement. Nice work.

OK, we gotta talk offline.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that Kaiser is just the reincarnation of Franz Beckenbauer. I'm considering trying to find if I can get Edson Arantes do Nascimento. You know to be absolutely dominate. I would get Gerrard just for personal taste but I don't know where to play him. PM me about the unis and the like.

I've been playing Football Manager 2007 over the past year. I took a team in the Conference and just won the Premeirship 13 seasons later. It could've been done sooner, but I've been trying to do this run without any "re-starts."

Lately, I've picked back up with Civ 4 Warlords so I can be ready for Beyond the Sword, which I've already pre-bought. It's already gone gold, so it should be in my mailbox within the next few days.

I also picked up Out of the Park Baseball 4, which is supposedly the best baseball management simulator out there, but it's awfully dense. It took me about a year to really get the hang of Championship Manager/Football Manager, and it'll probably be the same for this one.

Besides CoH, I sometimes play The Movies. And the Movies stunts and effects.
It's a god game where you design and run a movie studio.
There is a lot of stuff there that you could use make mini movies of your own.
And you can create your own actors and directors and give them kinda specific faces and stuff.
It's pretty fun.

I've stepped away from Warcraft for the moment. Not playing WoW has left me with a lot of gaming time on my hands.

In its place I've re-picked up Civ4 (just downloaded the Fall from Heaven mod but haven't tried it yet), Morrowind (bought the GOY edition for peanuts) FIFA 2007 (year two with Nottingham Forest) and Escape Velocity: Nova. (http://www.ambrosiasw.com/games/evn/)

Texas Hold'em on my phone and Guitar Hero II on the 360 while Lansdown's is broke. I was smiling like an idiot yesterday while playing the Toadies song. I never thought I'd play more than a few songs but now I'm on my fourth of fifth gig.

And Halo 2. I still play Halo 2...until September 25th.
