Man.

Another great start this morning. Scrambled egg and cheese on a toasted Sesame Seed bagel, fresh orange juice, multivitamins and my iPod.

Thanks to the Altec Lansing setup I have, I'm able to enjoy the following mix, headphones-free.

1.) Gear - Naked Raygun
2.) Room A Thousand Years Wide - Soundgarden
3.) Queen of the Broken Hearts - Loverboy
4.) The River - Garth Brooks
5.) The Body - Public Image Limited
6.) Living On The Ceiling - Blancmange
7.) Rusty Cage - Soundgarden (a two-for!!)
8.) Got To Get You Into My Life - The Beatles (Oh Paul.....)
9.) A Million Things - Xymox
10.) Broken - Chris Daughtry (his last season's American Idol performance)

++++++++++++++++

1.) Naked Raygun. So glad I had so many opportunities to see this legendary Chicago punk band. So great.
2.) You know my thoughts on Soundgarden. I wept when they broke up. That's not a bit.
3.) I love this Loverboy song. Reminds me of being much younger.
4.) Such a beautiful song. I'm not ashamed to say I enjoy a few Garth Brooks songs.
5.) PIL. So great. When that plain "Album" was released, I lost my mind. The earlier stuff was good, but that album really got me hooked. The follow up LP was great as well. Me likey Johnny Lydon.
6.) I love this kind of stuff from this era. Blancmange had a few hits that I absolutely adore.
7.) I love the chord changes and time signature of this Soundgarden song. They were the masters of the 7/8 time. I love how it feels like a stutter.
8.) This is one of the few Beatles songs I am just ok with. I'm more of a John fan than a Paul fan, and this one is pretty cheesy. Still, catchy.
9.) Played the hell out of this band back in the clubs. All of their stuff is good. You can't go wrong with anyone on the 4AD label really...
10.) Thank you internet. Chris sounds amazing in this song. So much better than the original artists.

Snark reply: yeah, it's amazing that you like the songs that you, yourself, put on your iPod.

Thanks John. Have I just been Crago'd?

I think that's the reason why people put songs on their iPod. They like them enough to want to hear them again.

Has this board done something like this before?

There should be an iPod exchange where board members trade and to someone else's iPod for a week... just to see what other people enjoy. Then submit a report (snarky or otherwise) back to this board. "Walk a mile in someone else's iPod" or something.

(Of course, I can't do this because I don't have an iPod...but it sounds like fun.)

This is a Million Dollar idea right here. If I borrowed someone's iPod though, I would end up listening to music I have on my iPod probably.
