Do you buy your own insurance?

My sweet new job is super-sweet, but they're still a teeny company. They were sorry to find out and tell me yesterday that my insurance through them would be around $450 a month. Ouch.

Does anyone buy their own here? Is it worth it?

I don't know what the deductibles are for this fancy 4k insurance, but I doubt it's worth it to me at my age and whatnot.

I never had to use any emergency care or anything like that, but I went to doctors and got perscriptions just like a normal person.

It was pretty reasonable as I recall.
