I'm in Seattle next Thursday night and I could really use an excuse to ditch the co-workers. Any current or ex Seattle-ites have a show suggestion? (Or, heck, any suggestion that would get me out of dinner with talks-too-much and mumbly?)

I would head up to Jet City Improv in the U District near University of Washington. They have an especially good show at about 12:30 on Saturday nights called Cupcake. If you go tell them that Dirty Water sends their love.

If your show watching horizons extend beyond improv, go see the Von Foxies if they are performing that night. They're a Seattle burlesque troupe and they are fantastic and HI-larious and super fun and will rock your socks off. They just won best Troupe at the Miss Exotic World Pageant a few weeks ago in Vegas and I think are getting ready to do a big celebratory show thingy in honor of the win.
