Why are we all not talking about this amazing movie? Why is it not the topic of every conversation? I think it is one of the best comedies to come out in a while. It is SO SO SO funny and my favorite part is, it has a heart. And integrity. There was no point in the movie that I felt sold out the characters/storyline for a laugh. And, really, I have never heard that much laughter in a movie theatre. More than a laugh a minute. After I left the theatre, I wanted to shout it from the an Italian square, "I LOVE THIS MOVIE. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT!"
So fucking good.
I wanna be Kathrerine Heigl. Is she not the most beautiful girl alive?

Indeed. Amy and I both thought it was a great movie. Something for everyone!

Mrs. Pregnant McAvoy and I went apeshit for it.
We also went back and watched the entire Freaks and Geeks series for the first time (we watched next to 0 television from 1998 until about 2003). Our first exposure to Judd Apatow was 40 year old virgin, which we liked an awful lot, but Freaks and Geeks & Knocked Up totally blew us away.

It was very funny. I liked it a lot more than I wanted to.
However it made me never want to have or witness the birth of a baby?
Holy Christ! I'm getting a Vesectomy tomorrow.

I was opposite. I enjoyed the movie, but I didn't feel it was one of the best/funniest I've seen in a while. I would have liked it more if they had cut some of it down. It started to drag near the end. But don't cut out the Vegas bit. The different chairs scene was great!

Congrats, Chris! I don't think I knew that you are a father-to-be.

Yeah, I went in not knowing much about it and without having read reviews. Which was good. I ended up laughing a lot and liking it.
Was it me, or was it really conspicuous that they didn't show the female lead's boobs? With the random other boobage throughout the movie, I thought it was weird how she wore a bra during sex and how the bubbles in the bath were so strategically placed. It was kinda distracting, actually.

Loved the movie. Really sweet and funny. I didn't laugh non-stop like I did in 40-Year-Old Virgin, but I thought the overall experience was better.
As for the boobies, it's not surprising. The Lovely Ms. Heigl is likely keeping her options open for becoming a Jennifer Aniston-type female lead (which I think is well within her reach. She's mighty pretty and carried her role well.) I think the general trend for the wholesome leading actress set is to avoid the boobies (until you pull a Halle Berry and release the boobies years later).
But enough about boobies. I liked the movie a lot.

Similar thoughts to The Ries.
Although I wasn't in love with the Vegas part. With that, The Ries and I differ. That stuff felt like it was just more chat chat chat near the end of the movie. OK, fine... (sigh), it's over 2 hours long here.
I think I just like scripts more than I realized before. Or I'm just more used to them. I think this is why I wasn't crazy about "Borat" either. "Hot Fuzz" I'm all over, but this chatty chatty stuff... don't I have a live-theater scene and improv shows for that?
There's a really cool Onion A.V. Club Cross Talk on Improv (and I/they use that term loosely) in film, and its possible effects--good and bad. I suggest checking it out.

Kristen Wiig is so talented, and she has two really funny scenes in this movie. I've read a lot of reviews saying that Wiig should have been the main female instead of Hagl, I dont know if thats true or not - but I do think she could have had a bigger roll!
Great movie.

Eh...
A). If you want Kristin Wiig in a pregnancy comedy, then you can wait a couple weeks for "The Brothers Solomon."
and B). Her scenes were really funny and that's that. If you added more of her, then it might have stretched something unnecessarily and made it much less funny... plus the movie is over 2 damn hours already.
But I will agree that I thought her parts were really funny. So was Ryan Seacrest!
yeah saw the movie. somebody posted it on the web and you can just watch it without downloading it. i would post the link here but my post might just get deleted. great movie by the way.
