The rumors are flying about gaming giant Nintendo licensing "a limited amount of content" (http://macdailynews.com/index.php/weblog/comments/13960/) for the iPhone, and the rumors all seem to point back to this post over on a site called No Heat (http://www.noheat.com/2007/06/18/nintendo-and-apple-to-partner-on-games-for-iphone/). They name no sources (of course), but they say that these Nintendo games will show up on the iTunes store at $29, and say that the games will "cater to an older audience."

And here I was, trying to find reasons not to buy an iPhone ... it just keeps getting harder ...

Please don't be true, oh rumor. My wallet already hurts with anticipation.

This I don't understand. Two of my favorite companies growing up and I welcome them haveing a working relationship. But how would Nintendo benifit from this? They already have a handheld.

I'm just not enough of a gamer to buy a system, but I'd certainly while away an hour playing Zelda while waiting for a plane, as long as I didn't have to carry around another device. I just assume I'm not alone in that I would never buy a Gameboy or even a Wii, but I'll gladly shell out for an iPhone.
