Holy Crap, I Just Quit My Job!

I interviewed and got a job that I'm ridiculously excited about and I just announced my last day would be Tuesday! I've been oh so sad and unhappy and now: whooooopy!!!!

How'd I do it, you may ask? Craigslist everyone, Craiglist. Temp agencies bear false hopes. Go get it yourself! And write a thank you note! Life's too short to do jobs you hate!!!! It took me about 5 months and I can't believe I'm actually out the other side and this stupidness will be my past and awesomeness will be my reality!

After 3 years of so many ups and downs and watching a once-cool company lose it's heart, Tuesday's my last day and then onto the Batman shoot on Wednesday and then my friends from work are throwing a goodbye party on Thursday!

Also, Craigslist has more hipper places it feels like. You know, for sensitive-allergic-to-corporate types like us. If you're feeling like how I've been feeling: keep up hope and apply like crazy. You deserve better!

Office Manager/Assistant at a video production and editing house! The space is beautiful and the two owners are smart and cool and this is a new position for them to include because their business is doing so well! I'm going to write proposals and learn about the commerical film industry!

My company's just changed and I was stuck in the middle as they fired my boss, my partner walked out and the mailroom was suddenly called a business unit and quality assurance people were dictating what my job was. All the cool kids quit and the squares won. It's not bad, it's just a shame that it went from having a great sense of humor to being corporatized.

I just remembered! I don't have to meet with my manager to do my Performance Journal anymore!

We were to meet and discuss my agreed-upon corporate goals that are aligned with the company's business goals! After our discussion, I would have needed to log in to the system and update my journal and log my advancements and log all my performances of the necessary actions to acheive these goals by certain set dates. :p
