Ballroom and Latin Dance Class
Oct 18 to Nov 21 (4-week)

Ballroom Dance Chicago is excited to offer beginning ballroom and Latin group class. By learning to dance, not only do you develop a commanding posture, but also body/movement awareness that is necessary for developing strong presence on stage. We have designed these group classes for people who are new to social dance and experienced dancers who want to practice fundamental skills. Participants will learn the basics of some popular ballroom/social dances, such as: Salsa, Rumba, Merengue, Swing, Foxtrot, Waltz, and Tango. Basic lead and follow skills, musicality, posture and dance floor etiquette will also be discussed. Both couples and single dancers are welcome since we will rotate partners in class. Dance shoes are encouraged but not required. The classes will be 45-minute long.

The 4-week sessions begin Wednesday, 21 October, and Saturday 24 October
Session 1 (Beginner 1): Wednesdays, 7 to 7:45 p.m.: Beginning Ballroom/Latin
Session 2 (Beginner 1): Saturdays, 11 to 11:45 a.m.: Beginning Ballroom/Latin
