Do we have any golf fans out there?

The Masters starts tomorrow and I’m all kinds of excited. Even if you aren’t a golf fan, you should tune in for a little while and see if it doesn’t trap you. It’s great, the golfers really put their A game on to try to win this with most of the better part of the field taking last week off to prepare. Also, the sponsors make it so that it’s virtually commercial free and it has its own song so there’s something cool about that. This is some of the best couch napping that can be done and the weather looks like it’s going to be bad this weekend so give it a try.

My parents were able to get tickets to the practice round on Monday, and they had a great time. It's a beautiful course, and like you said, seeing all the players bring their A game is pretty great. They said Tiger is in a league all by himself. I'll be curious to see how he does this weekend.

grew up playing a lot of golf with my old man; the game certainly embodies a bevy of sentiment for me, but i truly enjoy playing.

I LOVE THE MASTERS. I love the way CBS covers it, so serene and sacred. Jim Nantz is great. The piano intros and outros..." a tradition unlike any other".

amen to masters weekend. pun intended.

He's on his final hole. He's about 455 yards away, he's gonna hit about a 2 iron I think. Cinderella story. Outta nowhere. A former greenskeeper, now, about to become the Masters champion. It looks like a mirac...It's in the hole!

It is only covered so serenly by CBS because the Masters has their hands in the whole thing. I love the Masters, i just hate Augusta and the folks that run it.

They also got Gary McCord taken off of the Masters coverage...i like Gary McCord

From Wikiwikiwiki

In 1986, McCord joined CBS Sports (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CBS_Sports) as a golf analyst, a capacity in which he still serves. McCord is noted for his outspokenness, a trait that has seen him barred from the CBS commentary team for The Masters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Masters_Tournament). During the network's coverage of the 1995 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1995) Masters, he remarked that the 17th green was so fast that it seemed to be "bikini-waxed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bikini_waxing)", and that "body bags (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Body_bag)" were located behind that green for players who missed their approach shots. Augusta National Golf Club (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augusta_National_Golf_Club), which organizes The Masters and is notoriously sensitive about how its course is described, used its influence with CBS to have him removed from the Masters commentary team. While McCord has continued to cover virtually all other golf events aired by CBS, he has never returned to Augusta.

Also they won't license their course for the Tiger Woods video game....lame.

I'll be watching as much of it as I can.

I've played only once this season so far. This past Monday, I played the North Course at Silver Lake CC and shot a 51-47=98. Not that great, but really good considering I haven't gone to a driving range yet this year, played three times last year, and about 5 times in the last 2 years. I hit two balls in the water on the back nine (on the last hole!), so that 47 is a lot higher than I really was going into the 18th hole.

My goal is to play more golf this year. It's a great game.

So far it looks like the course is winning.

TV coverage starts at 3:00 on USA.
